Pilot Program Data

 

This widely acclaimed program has been successfully field-tested and proven since 2005 and is now ready for expansion.

The pilot program was conduct in Buffalo, Niagara Falls, New York, Washington DC, Toronto and Niagara Falls Ontario.

 We target at-risk students, with a mix of underprivileged students, students with unique needs, special behavioral problems, and learning disabilities, and students with good behavioral characteristics.

 

The program received qualified praise from the teachers and parents, and was a success on all fronts.

Data from our pilot program shows if this program was instituted in all the schools would lead to a turnaround in high suspension rates, lack of attendance and poor grades. The teachers of the students that participated noted that those students showed great strides in their self-discipline, personal relationships with their peers and improved test scores. 

 

All in all, the school community benefited greatly from this wonderful program.

 

Teachers and parents completed a survey that clearly demonstrated the positive feeling generated by having the children participate in the Sumokids Imitative. Those surveyed unanimously felt that their children’s attitude, attendance, and grades improved as a result of their participation.
